BENEFITS
Crete Strip is formulated for use as an acrylic sealer stripper and heavy duty cleaner for concrete. It is ideal for use as a stripper for removal of oil or solvent based sealers and coatings where water based detergents fail. This product will remove most resins, adhesives, printing inks, decals, dirt, soil, and most petroleum based substances such as tar, asphalt, grease, oil, and rubber tire marks.
HOW TO USE
SURFACE PREPARTAION: Sweep the area to be stripped free of trash and debris. Protect all areas not to be cleaned or stripped. Mask off all adjacent surfaces with painter's tape or plastic duct tape. If needed, use a plastic or coated cardboard as a spray shield. Be sure all pilot lights, arcing or sparking devices are off. No Smoking!
APPLICATION: Apply Crete Strip by spray method liberally over acrylic coated concrete surface to be stripped at an approximate coverage rate of 100-150 square feet per gallon. Allow stripper to penetrated and emulsify coating for approximately 20-45 minutes depending up area temperature and relative humidity. For coatings on slick finished floors, a scraper may be used to remove excess coating. Add a small amount of water and scrub vigorously to remove emulsified (liquefied) coating. Heavily coated areas may also require a second treatment. Flush the stripped area with water. Rinse and mop op or use a wet shop vac to remove existing coating. When removing exterior coatings, a high PSI and GPM commercial use pressure washer may be used to remove emulsified coating. Once dry, the floor should be ready to apply coatings.
Please note: Acrylic coatings can be trapped in the pores of a concrete surface. Mechanical means of profiling the floor may be necessary to apply some stains or coatings. Test prior to stain or coating application.
PLEASE NOTE: It is always recommended to test the product in a small, inconspicuous area (on the same concrete substrate) for desired results prior to application. Coverage rates may vary for all coatings and substrates depending on porosity, density, texture etc.
